Create a discount

Eligible products

When Apply Discount For? is set to Specific products, choose items in the Eligible products list.

Amounts and currencies

Discounts can be percent-based or fixed amount.

• Use Percent when the same percentage should apply in every eligible currency.
• Use Fixed when each currency needs its own amount. Add fixed amounts only for the currencies where the code should work.
• Use Currency scope to limit the discount to selected store currencies. Leave every currency unchecked when the code should work in all configured currencies.
• The currency list starts with the store's default and enabled currencies from Store Settings, then adds currencies already used by products or existing discounts. This lets a new store create fixed discounts in its chosen currency before products have been added.

If a fixed discount has currency-specific amounts, checkout only applies it in a currency that has a matching amount.

Checkout and subscription targeting

Use Checkout type to choose whether a discount applies to one-time purchases, subscriptions, or both.

For subscription discounts, choose whether the code applies to the

First payment only or Every recurring payment. You can also limit recurring discounts to monthly or yearly billing intervals.

Use Specific prices when a code should work only for particular product price options, such as one monthly plan or one yearly plan.

Checkout behavior

• Apply automatically lets checkout use the best eligible automatic discount when no manual code is entered.
• Allowed with other discounts lets a manual code combine with another stackable automatic discount.
• Apply to shipping includes eligible shipping charges when shipping is collected during checkout.
• Valid From and Valid To use the website time zone for date-only windows, so a one-day code starts and ends on that local calendar day.

Manage discounts

• Search with Search discounts....
• Filter by status: Active or Inactive.
• Toggle list or grid view using the view button.
• Use a discount’s menu to Edit, Duplicate, or Delete.

Deleting a discount sets its status to inactive.
