Build and manage quizzes in one unified builder for scored, outcome-based, and survey experiences.

Unified quiz system

Contacts Quizzes uses one builder for all quiz types:

  • Scored: answer points and score bands.
  • Outcome-based: per-option outcome weights and best-fit outcomes.
  • Survey: response collection with survey result routing.

There is one Quiz widget in the page builder. It displays a quiz from this library and does not use a separate survey widget.

Create and manage quizzes

Open quiz library

Go to Contacts Quizzes.

Create a new quiz

Click New Quiz to open the builder.

Choose quiz mode and configure logic

In builder settings, choose Scored, Outcome-based, or Survey, then configure questions and results.

Save and set status

Save your quiz and set it to Active when ready.

Generate a quiz with AI

Use Generate with AI inside the quiz builder when you want a first draft instead of starting from blank.

The optional Questions field accepts a custom target count. If your prompt already lists questions and answers, AI uses that list as the source and keeps the supplied order and detail when building the draft.

Larger quiz drafts can take longer to generate, especially when you ask for many questions, outcomes, or detailed result pages. The builder gives those drafts more time to finish before showing an error.

Open Quizzes

Go to Contacts Quizzes.

Start a quiz

Click New Quiz to open the builder, or open an existing quiz if you want AI to revise it.

Open Generate with AI

Click Generate with AI in the quiz builder header.

Describe the quiz

Include the audience, goal, quiz type, approximate number of questions, result style, any contact details to collect, and any offer or CTA. You can type a custom question count or dictate the prompt with the microphone button.

Review and save

Review the generated questions, outcomes or score bands, capture settings, and results page before saving.

Agent Bee can help open the quiz builder and prefill the AI prompt, but the quiz builder remains the source of truth for reviewing and saving the quiz.

Assistant and API quiz workflows

Approved assistants and API keys can help with quiz library maintenance when you need a scripted or repeatable workflow.

  • List quizzes and inspect full question, answer, score-band, outcome, results page, and contact capture settings.
  • Create a complete standalone quiz, or rebuild an existing quiz from a full approved brief.
  • When rebuilding an existing quiz, leaving the name blank keeps the current quiz title instead of replacing it with a placeholder.
  • Update sections such as questions, score bands, outcomes, results page, welcome screen, capture settings, status, name, or slug.
  • Simulate a set of answers to preview the result tier, best-fit outcome, and redirect behavior before sending traffic.
  • Embedded Quiz widgets refresh after saved API changes so published pages and funnels can pick up the latest quiz setup.

Builder capabilities

  • Question types: single choice, multiple choice, scale, short text, long text, number, date, and true/false.
  • Scored mode: points per answer and score-band results.
  • Outcome-based mode: outcome weight controls per answer option.
  • Survey mode: indicator-question mapping for survey result cards, including single choice, true/false, and scale answers.
  • Display mode: show one question at a time or all questions at once.
  • Question options can be shuffled when answer order should vary.
  • Submission behavior: results page or redirect.
  • Contact capture: collect name/email/phone before or after questions.
  • Post-submit actions: apply tags and lists to captured contacts.
  • Result tags: apply different tags when a contact reaches a score band or survey result, including separate fallback tags when no survey result matches.
  • Email Notification: send a team email after each quiz submission, with a recipient and subject saved on the quiz.
  • Result pages, score bands, outcomes, and survey results can show a default icon, a selected icon, an emoji, or no icon.
  • Result pages can use image or video media with Small, Medium, Large, or Full display sizing, plus contain or crop fit controls. Video results can use a selected video from your library or a supported external link such as YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, or Wistia.
  • Outcome-based result pages can show or hide the Also matched outcomes list below the best match.
  • Quiz theme typography can inherit your website heading and paragraph fonts, use a preset, or use separate saved fonts for titles/questions and answers/descriptions.
  • Built-in validation highlights incomplete settings before you publish, such as missing required prompts, empty options, overlapping score bands, or missing survey result mappings.

Library actions

From the Quizzes list, you can:

  • Search and filter by status.
  • Switch between card and list views.
  • Toggle active/draft state.
  • Open live preview.
  • Duplicate or delete quizzes.
  • Export the quiz list to CSV.

Connect quizzes to pages and flows

  • Embed quizzes with Quiz Widget.
  • Use Flow Triggers to start a flow from a quiz result, score, or answer, and choose how retakes can re-enter.
  • Use quiz-aware Conditions or a Quiz Result Router to send each result down the right path.
  • Preview saved quiz answers from the trigger settings before a live test. The preview shows the result, result tags, matching trigger, and router branch without creating a contact or sending a message.

Email notifications

Use Email Notification when someone on your team should receive each quiz submission by email.

Open quiz settings

Open the quiz in Contacts Quizzes, then open the submission or settings area.

Turn on Email Notification

Add the recipient email and adjust the subject if needed.

Save the quiz

Save the quiz so future submissions send the notification.

Quiz notifications use the same branded system-email layout as other workspace notifications and include the submitted answers plus available contact details.
