How drafts work

Blog posts save drafts as you edit. Drafts are stored separately from the published version.

Preview a post

• Draft preview opens the current draft version when a draft or unsaved changes exist.
• Published view opens the public blog URL for the saved live post.

Publish a post

From the blog list, you can select multiple posts and publish them together. If one selected post is currently being edited, Hiveality leaves that post unchanged and shows the reason so you can open the editor before trying again.

When an approved assistant or Website API Key republishes a post without providing a new publish date, Hiveality keeps the post's existing publication date. The first publication uses the current time unless a date is supplied. Set a new date explicitly when you want to reschedule or change the date shown for an existing post.

Unpublish or discard drafts

• Unpublish removes the post from your live blog.
• Discard Draft removes draft changes and keeps the published version.

Moving a post to Trash releases its previous URL so another post can use it. If publishing is blocked because a URL is still assigned to a trashed post, the conflict message identifies Trash as the place to resolve it.

Schedule posts

Set a Publish Date to schedule a post instead of publishing immediately.

• Posts with a future publish date show as Scheduled until the selected time arrives.
• Scheduled posts are kept out of the public blog list and public post URLs until they are due.
• Publish dates can be scheduled up to one year in advance.
• When a scheduled post becomes due, Hiveality refreshes the blog list and post page so the post can appear without another manual publish.

If you change the publish date on a live or scheduled post, Hiveality updates the post status based on whether the selected time is in the future or already due.

Discard a draft with a connected assistant

A connected assistant can discard unpublished blog changes while keeping the live post intact. Hiveality saves the draft in post revisions before discarding it. If someone is actively editing the post, the discard is blocked by default; finish that editing session before trying again. Restoring a revision changes the live post, so review the revision before restoring it.
