Popup status behavior
- Draft: saved in the builder but does not open on live pages.
- Active: eligible to open on live pages when display and trigger rules match.
- Paused and Archived: kept for reference but not shown live.
You can also switch status directly from the popup list using Make Active or Set Draft.
Status, rule, and target changes refresh the public display rules after save. Check the relevant live page in a private window when the popup controls an important launch or lead-capture path.
Display rules
Control where popups appear:
- Show on all pages or select specific pages
- Show on all blog posts or select specific posts
- Include or exclude pages, posts, and funnel steps
Popup steps in funnels
When a popup is used as a funnel step, edit it from the funnel step list or the funnel toolbar. Popup step settings focus on the step's name, slug, and animation because the funnel controls where the step appears.
Use regular popup display rules for standalone popups that should appear on pages or blog posts outside a funnel sequence.
Trigger rules
Choose when the popup appears:
- Time on page
- Scroll percent
- Exit intent
Manual popup opens in builder previews ignore route matching. Live visitor opens still follow your display and trigger rules.
