Blog SEO

Configure SEO metadata, broken-link checks, and discoverability settings for blog posts.

What to optimize per post

  • Meta title and meta description
  • Slug quality and readability
  • Category/tag relevance
  • Social image and OG preview fields
  • Featured image alt text and in-post image alt text coverage
  • Canonical and indexing behavior when applicable

Workflow

1

Open a post settings panel

Go to Blog, open a post, then open Settings.

2

Review Blog Health

Open Blog Health to check the score, focus areas, traffic, ranking visibility, and open SEO tasks for the post.

3

Refresh post SEO

Use Refresh Blog SEO after editing to refresh health signals, links, traffic, rankings, and AI suggestions.

4

Refresh the score only

Use the score refresh button when you want to rerun checks and broken-link status without applying suggestions.

5

Improve Blog SEO

Use Improve Blog SEO to refresh safe metadata suggestions, generate target keywords when needed, fill missing image alt text, and rerun the Blog Health checks.

6

Set metadata and taxonomy

Update title/description and align tags and categories with the post topic.

7

Review advanced structured data

When available, open Advanced Structured Data to review inline FAQs or medical topics that are clearly supported by the visible post content.

8

Publish and verify

Publish (or schedule), then verify preview cards and metadata output.

Notes

Reviewed inline FAQs

Accordion FAQ widgets are included automatically when eligible. When a blog post uses visible question-and-answer copy directly in its body, the advanced panel can detect clear FAQ patterns for a manual review.

  1. Select Find Visible FAQs.
  2. Read every detected question and answer, clear any pair that should not be represented, and select Save Selected FAQs.
  3. Publish the post and test the live URL.

If the visible blog body changes, the saved pairs are marked for review and do not render until they match the current content again. Removing managed FAQs removes only their generated structured data; it does not edit the blog body or Accordion widgets.

Blog insights in post settings

Post settings now include an insights view to help you prioritize SEO work:

  • Traffic: 7/30/90 day visits and views for the post.
  • Ranking Visibility: tracked keyword ranks, rank movement, impressions, and clicks.

When rankings are missing, confirm your tracked keywords are configured and give snapshots time to populate.

Blog Health tab

The Blog Health tab helps you decide what to fix before publishing or updating a post.

  • Draft Preview shows the current score and marks when publishing is needed before live health updates.
  • Score Breakdown summarizes content, technical, links, and accessibility checks.
  • Traffic shows recent visits and views across 7, 30, and 90 day windows.
  • Ranking Visibility shows tracked search terms or suggested targets.
  • Generate Keyword Targets creates suggested search targets from the post and business context when search query data is not available yet.
  • Improve Blog SEO can apply safe metadata updates and generate missing alt text for uploaded post images.
  • Unresolved Broken Links shows open link issues for the post so you can fix them before publishing or re-sharing older content.
  • When a broken link has an exact edit location, use Change Link to replace the destination or Remove Link to keep the visible text and remove the link from the draft.
  • If a fix is staged, publish the post when you want the live health score to reflect it.
  • Heading fixes can be staged when Hiveality can safely identify the exact heading.
  • Suggested keyword targets can be edited or removed so post-level SEO work stays aligned with the search intent you actually want to pursue.
  • Task Status and Top Focus Areas show the highest-priority edits to make next.
