Members & roles

Find members, review join requests, and manage community roles and access.

Member list details

Each member card shows:

  • Name with an avatar or initials.
  • Role label such as owner, admin, moderator, or member.

Use the member search to find someone by name. Longer member lists load in pages, so a member does not need to be on the first screen to be managed.

Review join requests

For a private community, or a public or unlisted community that requires approval, moderators see pending requests above the member directory. Review the applicant name, then choose Approve or

Reject. The queue refreshes after each decision.

Each request shows how long it has been waiting and whether a teammate has taken ownership. Choose Take ownership before reviewing it,

Release ownership when someone else should continue, or Take over when a claimed item needs attention. The same ownership controls appear for reported posts and comments in the moderation queue.

Eligible moderators can turn on Review alerts for a community to receive in-app notices when a new join request or report arrives. Turning alerts off does not remove existing items from their review tabs.

Manage roles and access

Owners and administrators can assign eligible member roles. Authorized moderators can remove or suspend eligible members, add a reason, and later restore access. The member panel keeps a private action history with who made the change, when it happened, and the reason.

  • Suspending or removing someone stops participation and prevents rejoining until an authorized moderator restores access.
  • Existing posts are kept instead of being deleted automatically.
  • The final owner cannot be demoted or removed. Transfer ownership before restricting an owner.
  • Access changes apply only to this community; review other purchases and memberships separately.

If your role includes Contacts access, use the contact action on a member to open their complete contact panel without leaving the community. From there you can review relevant activity and access, add an internal note, or create a follow-up task for yourself or an eligible teammate.

Member counts

The member tab header shows Community Members (count), and the sidebar displays overall community stats.

Team profile discoverability

If your member profiles are public, keep profile details and metadata aligned with Team Profile SEO.
