Edit an event

1

Open the event menu

Use the ••• menu on an event card.

2

Choose Edit details

Update fields and select Update Event.

When an event uses an access combination outside the standard choices, the editor shows Custom (keep current settings). Saving other changes leaves that access and registration setup in place.

Duplicate or delete

  • Duplicate creates a copy of the event.
  • Delete removes the event after confirmation.
  • Deleting a recurring series also removes its upcoming dates and their RSVPs while keeping completed event history. When a removed date has an automatically created Zoom meeting, Hiveality also attempts to remove that meeting.

Cancel or restore one recurring date

Use Cancel date when one session in a recurring series should not run. The date is hidden from attendees, its existing RSVPs are kept, and it is not recreated by the scheduled series refresh. Attendees are not notified automatically, so send a separate update when needed.

A canceled session shows a Cancelled badge in the event list. Use Restore to publish that date again with its saved RSVPs. Use delete only for a one-time event or the full recurring series.

Manage recurring events

In the account-wide Events manager, recurring series are grouped separately from upcoming and past sessions.

In a website Events manager, the event list shows both the recurring series and its individual dates. Series cards use a repeat badge, while generated dates use a Series badge. RSVP totals appear on the individual dates where attendees register, not on the series card.

  • Edit the series to update shared details such as the title, description, host, location, capacity, audience, and reminder for future sessions. The scheduled time of an individual date is not overwritten.
  • Edit an individual session when only that date needs a different time, meeting link, or replay.
  • When automatic Zoom meetings are enabled, deleting a future session or series also attempts to remove its generated meeting.
  • To change a series from weekly to monthly, or convert a one-time event into a series, create a new series; the repeat pattern is fixed after creation.

Review attendees

Select the attendee count on an upcoming or past event to review names, email addresses, and RSVP status. Series templates do not have an attendee list; review each generated session instead.

Preview events

Select Preview on any event card to open the event page.
