RSVPs and attendee experience
How members view events and respond to invites.
Community Events tab
Inside a community page, the Events tab includes:
- Upcoming, Past Events, and All Events filters
- List and Grid view toggles
- Event counts in the header
Moderators see a Create Event button in this tab.
RSVP options
Event cards show RSVP controls that update member status:
- Attending / Going
- Maybe
- Can't Go
The primary button label switches between RSVP, Attending, Maybe, and Not Attending based on the member’s status.
RSVP access and capacity
- Visitors must sign in and have access to the event before they can RSVP.
- Public guest-registration events can show a name and email form on the event page so visitors can reserve a spot without signing in first.
- When guest registration succeeds, the visitor is marked as attending and can receive a confirmation email when email sending is configured.
- Past events and unpublished events do not accept new RSVP changes.
- Events with closed registration show that registration is closed instead of showing RSVP controls.
- When Max Attendees is set, Hiveality blocks new Attending responses after the event reaches capacity.
- Attendee counts stay visible, while private attendee details are only shown to people who can manage the event.
Event details members see
- Date and time in each card.
- Location with a virtual badge when a link is used.
- Attendee count, e.g.
4/25when a max attendee limit is set. - Join Event or Join button when a location URL is present.
