Dynamic Text Widget
Rich text editing for blog posts and long-form content.
Dynamic Text is the primary blog editing widget for long-form content. It is not recommended for regular pages, but you can still use it when you need advanced formatting or embedded media.
Add a Dynamic Text widget
Open the widget picker
In the page editor, open Widgets.
Drag Dynamic Text
In Other, drag Dynamic Text (text icon) onto the page.
Edit content
Click the widget and choose Edit Dynamic Text to open the editor.
Slash commands
Type / in the editor to open the command menu. Available commands include Text, Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, Image, Video, Video Embed, Quote, Code Block, Divider, Bullet List, and Numbered List. Video embeds support YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, or Wistia.
The slash menu keeps focus in the editor when you choose a command, so inserted headings, lists, media blocks, and dividers appear where you were writing. Headings also behave more like normal writing blocks: pressing Enter at the end of a heading starts a paragraph, Shift+Enter adds a line break, and deleting an empty heading removes the heading block.
Blog writing mode
When Dynamic Text is used for a blog post, the editor opens with a calm placeholder and waits for you to click into the body before showing rich text controls. While you are writing, text selection takes priority and page-builder drag handles stay out of the way.
Inline media
Use the toolbar buttons Insert Image and Insert Video to add inline media inside your text. Video embeds are also available from the slash menu.
Left, center, and right alignment for inline images is saved with the image and is preserved when the post or page is reopened, previewed, or published.
Links
Use Add Link to connect selected text to pages, anchors, email addresses, phone numbers, files, or external URLs. When you edit an existing link, the dialog opens with the current link details.
Links use the site's action color and an underline by default. Select linked text when you want to set a custom link color, recolor the underline with it, or remove the underline for that specific link.
Editing toolbar
The editor toolbar includes Ask AI actions (Create, Improve, Shorten, Lengthen, and a custom prompt with optional surrounding context), plus styling tools for Styles, Font Family,
Font Weight, Font Size, Line Height, Text Color, Highlight Color, Bold,Italic, Underline,Text Decoration, Bullet List,Numbered List, Text Alignment,Add Link, and Clear Formatting.
Available weight options follow the active font, so unsupported weights are filtered out automatically.
When you set a Text Color for the whole Dynamic Text widget, paragraphs, headings, lists, and other blocks inside the editor use that color unless you apply a separate inline color to selected text.
