Files

Upload and manage files for your website.

What this controls

Files is your library for documents, images, audio, and downloadable assets used across your site.

Videos are managed in Video Manager so playback, thumbnails, and embeds can be prepared correctly. If you drag, select, or paste a video into File Manager, Hiveality blocks that upload and can send you to Video Manager instead.

Uploaded media uses Hiveality-managed file links, and older compatible media links are normalized automatically when they are selected or reused.

Upload or manage files

1

Open Files

Go to Settings -> Files.

2

Upload or select files

Add new files or choose existing ones.

Generate an AI image

Use Generate Image in File Manager when you need a new visual asset without leaving Hiveality.

  • Write a prompt, or use Enhance prompt to turn a rough idea into a more detailed image prompt.
  • Choose Standard, Wide, or Portrait size depending on where the image will be used.
  • Choose Fast for quicker drafts or Best for higher-quality output.
  • Generated images are added to My Files so you can reuse them in pages, rows, widgets, and social previews.
  • Images generated by an approved AI assistant are saved here too, so you can review, reuse, or replace them before publishing.

Review the generated image before publishing it, especially when it represents a person, product, venue, or branded material.

Upload from URLs

When you upload from URLs, File Manager now previews matches before upload so cleanup is faster.

  • Already uploaded items are flagged in preview.
  • Filename matches are flagged when a similar file name is already in your library.
  • Use Remove Duplicates to clear exact URL duplicates before upload.
  • Use Remove Matches to clear filename matches in one click.
  • Supported audio URLs, including MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, and WebM audio files, can be imported into Files for reuse in course audio lessons and downloads.
  • Video URLs are routed to Video Manager instead of Files.
  • URL imports are stored permanently when they are added, so approved lesson and download assets are not removed by short-term upload settings.
  • Temporary source or file-import service issues are retried once automatically, and failed imports return clearer messages for review.

In URL upload mode, you can paste a page link and use Extract file URLs from webpage to pull linked assets into the upload list.

Tip: review the preview badges before upload to avoid repeated files.
