Upload and manage videos for your website.

What this controls

Videos is your library for managing video assets used on your site, including videos added manually and videos imported during supported migrations.

Use Video Manager, not File Manager, for video uploads. When a video is added from File Manager by mistake, Hiveality points you back to Video Manager so the video can be processed for playback, thumbnails, and embedding.

Upload or manage videos

1

Open Videos

Go to Settings Videos.

2

Upload or select videos

Add new videos or choose existing ones.

Video uploads and supported public URL imports keep the video title, folder, caption request, and chapter request attached while the video processes. If Hiveality cannot start the upload or the video host does not return an upload link, you see an error instead of a silent pending upload.

Public URL imports must use reachable HTTP or HTTPS links. Private, local, or unsupported source URLs are rejected before the import starts.

Organize videos with folders

Create folders to keep video assets grouped by course, page, campaign, or project. Videos remain available from All Files even when they are also assigned to a folder.

When you upload a video into a folder, the upload card stays visible while the file uploads and then while the video is processing. Folder filters and the upload card use the saved folder name so the video stays in the expected place after processing completes.

If a recent upload does not appear where expected, refresh the folder or reopen Videos and check All Files.

Transcripts and chapters

Open a video preview to review generated transcript text and chapter markers.

  • Use Generate Transcript when transcript text is not ready yet, then Check Transcript if processing is still in progress.
  • Use Generate Chapters to prepare chapter navigation for an uploaded video. If generation is still running, use Refresh Chapters; if chapters already exist, use Regenerate Chapters when the chapter list needs a new pass.
  • Chapter markers can appear in hosted Video widgets and course video lessons when those players have chapters enabled.

Imported video notes

  • Supported PatientBase migrations can continue importing remote videos after page content is created, so a migration may stay in progress briefly while videos finish processing.
  • Imported videos appear in your Videos library once processing completes.
  • If a migrated video is still missing, check the migration warnings first, then confirm the source video URL is still publicly reachable.
