Imports

Import supported external catalog, contact, campaign, and flow data into your website.

Imports let you bring supported external data into Hiveality without preparing a manual spreadsheet first. Supported sources include ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, ThriveCart, and migration-focused website imports.

ActiveCampaign import

Use the ActiveCampaign card when you want to move contacts, campaign emails, and automation flows into Hiveality.

1

Open ActiveCampaign

Select ActiveCampaign in Imports.

2

Enter the API details

Paste the ActiveCampaign API URL and API key for the account you want to import from.

4

Review the preview

5

Start import

Select the import action for the current tab. Contact imports run in the background with progress, cancellation, and completed-run review.

Contact import options

The Contacts tab can:

  • Match and update existing contacts.
  • Include unsubscribed contacts while preserving their status.
  • Import lists, tags, and custom fields.
  • Keep flow starts off during migration, or turn them on when imported lists and tags should immediately start matching flows.

Campaign and flow options

The Campaigns tab lets you search, select shown items, import recent campaigns, or import all campaigns after preview. Import options can preserve source headers and footers, replace common personalization tokens, import images, and update matching email drafts.

The Flows tab lets you preview automations, select recent or shown items, bring linked campaign emails with the flow, and update existing matching flows when you are rerunning a migration pass.

Mailchimp import

Use the Mailchimp card when you want to bring contacts, audiences, tags, groups, merge fields, and campaign emails into Hiveality.

1

Open Mailchimp

Select Mailchimp in Imports.

2

Paste the API key

Paste the Mailchimp API key for the account you want to import from. The key is used for the import request and is not shown back to you.

3

Choose a tab

Use Contacts for audience members and list data, or use Campaigns for sent or draft campaign emails.

4

Preview before importing

Review counts, search results, selected campaigns, and import options before starting the run.

Mailchimp contact options

The Contacts tab can:

  • Update existing contacts instead of creating duplicates.
  • Include unsubscribed or cleaned contacts when you need a complete migration snapshot.
  • Import audiences as lists.
  • Import tags and groups as contact tags.
  • Import merge fields into contact details.
  • Choose whether imported contacts should start matching active flows.

Contact imports run in the background with progress, created/updated/skipped counts, error counts, and a cancel option while the run is active.

Mailchimp campaign options

The Campaigns tab can:

  • Load campaign previews and search the loaded campaign list.
  • Select the last five campaigns, select the shown search results, or select all loaded campaigns.
  • Import selected campaigns as draft emails.
  • Keep the source header/footer, use your global email header/footer, or remove the header when needed.
  • Map common Mailchimp merge tags into Hiveality personalization tokens.
  • Update already imported drafts on a later pass.

ThriveCart product import

Use the ThriveCart card when you want to import a product catalog into your store.

1

Open ThriveCart

Select ThriveCart in Imports.

2

Enter the API key

Paste the ThriveCart API key for the account you want to import from. The key is used for the import request and is not shown back to you.

3

Choose whether to include test products

Turn on Include test products only when you want test catalog items included in the preview and import.

4

Preview products

Select Preview to review product, price, image, description, and needs-review counts before importing.

5

Start import

Select Import. The dialog shows progress while products, pricing, images, and descriptions are created.

The preview table shows up to the first products found, including each product's mapped type, status, mappable prices, and whether an image or description was found.

Review import progress

When a background import is running, the dialog shows:

  • Current import status.
  • Progress percentage.
  • Imported, skipped, price, and image counts.
  • A failure count when individual products need attention.

You can close the dialog while the import runs. Reopening Imports shows an active import or a recently completed import so you can continue reviewing it.

Cancel or run another import

  • Use Cancel import while an import is still running.
  • Use New import after a completed, failed, or cancelled import when you want to run another pass.
