Google Ads
Add a Google Ads conversion ID and track form, booking, and purchase conversions.
Connect Google Ads when you want Hiveality to add the sitewide Google tag for an AW- conversion ID and send conversion events from key actions on your published site.
When to use it
Use the Google Ads integration when a customer gives you a Google Ads conversion ID such as AW-123456789.
The integration can track:
- Successful public form submissions
- Confirmed bookings
- Store purchases on the order-complete page
If the same Google Ads tags are already installed through Google Tag Manager or Custom Code, remove the duplicate setup before turning this on to avoid double-counting conversions.
Open the Google Ads dialog
Open Integrations
Go to Settings and choose Integrations.
Open Google Ads
Select Google Ads.
Configure your conversion ID
- Enter the Conversion ID from Google Ads. It must start with AW- followed by numbers.
- Select Save to publish the sitewide Google Ads tag.
- Use Verify to check whether the live site is configured for Google Ads.
- Use Disconnect to remove the saved Google Ads ID and conversion labels.
Add conversion labels
Conversion labels are optional. Add them only for the conversion actions your Google Ads account is set up to receive.
Available actions:
- Form submissions: fires after a website form submits successfully.
- Booking confirmations: fires after a free or paid booking is confirmed.
- Store purchases: fires from the signed order-complete page and uses the order total and currency.
For form submissions and bookings, you can set an optional static value and currency. Store purchases use the order total and currency automatically.
Consent and duplicate tracking
If Cookies & Consent is active, Google Ads is treated as a Marketing tool and waits for the visitor's saved consent before loading or sending conversions.
If Google Tag Manager is also connected, Hiveality will warn you because a GTM container can also fire Google Ads tags. This warning does not block saving, but you should confirm the same conversion is not being sent twice.
Notes
- Google Ads runs on published pages only, not inside the editor.
- Verify checks live-site configuration. It does not confirm that conversion labels are active or reporting inside Google Ads.
- Google may take time to update conversion status after the first real conversion.
- Test orders do not send store purchase conversions.
