Biocanic

Send clients into Biocanic automatically from your flows. One-way sync from Hiveality into Biocanic.

Connect Biocanic so Hiveality can create clients in your Biocanic account automatically. When someone books, fills out a form, or reaches a chosen point in one of your flows, Hiveality can send that person into Biocanic as a client, so you do not have to enter them by hand.

This is a one-way integration. Data flows from Hiveality into Biocanic. It is the complete workflow for getting people into Biocanic, and for most practices it is exactly what you need: capture the person on your Hiveality site, and have them land in Biocanic ready for their program.

What it does

  • Creates a client in Biocanic from a contact in a Hiveality flow.
  • Runs as a flow action, so you choose exactly when it happens. For example, send a welcome email first, then create the Biocanic client.
  • Works from any flow trigger you already use, including new bookings, form opt-ins, and checkouts.

How to connect

  1. Open Settings, then Integrations, then Practice Management.
  2. Choose Biocanic.
  3. Paste the two API keys Biocanic gave you (an API key and an x-api-key).
  4. Set the default country for new clients (United States by default).
  5. Select Connect.

Your keys are stored encrypted and are never shown again.

How to use it in a flow

  1. Open or create a flow.
  2. Add an Action step.
  3. For Action Type, choose Send to Biocanic.
  4. Save and activate the flow.

When a contact reaches that step, Hiveality creates them as a client in Biocanic.

What we send

To create a client, Biocanic needs a first name, last name, email, and country.

  • We split the contact's full name into a first and last name.
  • We use the contact's own country when we have it, otherwise the default country you set when connecting. Most opt-in forms do not collect a country, so the default is what is normally used. You can change the default any time.

Required fields

A contact must have a name and an email for the Biocanic client to be created. Country is supplied automatically from your default if the contact does not have one. If a contact has no name or no email, that step is recorded as failed for that contact and the rest of the flow continues.

The Biocanic welcome email

Biocanic automatically sends its own welcome and registration email to every new client it creates. This is normal and is part of Biocanic, not Hiveality. If you do not want that email sent, contact Biocanic at help@biocanic.com to disable it.

Re-running is safe

Biocanic matches clients by email. If a client already exists, the step succeeds without creating a duplicate, so it is safe for the same contact to pass through the step more than once.

What does not sync

Please read this part carefully, because the one-way nature is not obvious.

  • Nothing comes back from Biocanic. Anything that happens inside Biocanic, such as a completed assessment, lab results, a self-booking, or a status change, does not flow back into Hiveality in this version.
  • Appointments do not appear on a Biocanic calendar. Biocanic does not have a scheduling calendar through this integration. The booking still happens in Hiveality. Biocanic receives the person as a client record, not the appointment.
  • There is no list of your Biocanic assessments or programs inside Hiveality. Biocanic does not offer a way to read those names back, so anything that has to be matched by name must be typed exactly as it appears in Biocanic.

What is coming later

This is our first version of the Biocanic integration, and it is additive. If we build a deeper, two-way integration with Biocanic in the future, completions and results will be able to flow back into Hiveality automatically. For now, the integration sends clients into Biocanic reliably and keeps your Hiveality flows in control of when that happens.
